All the automaton exposed in the museum are made in our workshop.
Every step is important, as making them requires precision : researches on the subject and design, study on the movements, mechanical construction and motorization, body part modelling and latex molding, painting and face decoration, and finally dressing and accessories.
It’s a handemade production… Our scenes are still entirely made in our workshop.
We make the automatons, but we also have to conduct historical researches on the themes we choose to work on, to study the production and to realize the scenary.
The workshop in not open for a visit, and barely open to visitors. However, visitors can discover it during the Journées du Patrimoine (third weekend of September).
