The museum exposed a collection of 250 automatons, showed in scenes, and permanently animated.
The present theme are inspired by everyday life scenes, the history of Lyon, popular tales, french novels…
The visitors can discover the universe of Gargantua the giant, the hunchbacked of Notre-Dame, the famous puppet Guignol, Peter Pan, "20 000 leagues under the Sea"... and many more.
The visit lasts about 1 hour.
It starts with a few secrets of the making of our automatons, revealed by a tour guide. Then it’s a self-guided tour, but the children are offered an appropriate free booklet with questions (for children from 3 to 12), in french or in english.
A one-hour guided tour is offered for groups, in french or in english on demand. Booking is necessary (see the group visits section of the website).
We also offer family french guided tours with animation for children some Wednesday mornings (see the planning).
Our visitors can take photos and film for their personal use only.
